This 100% polyester fleece fabric is double
veloured which prevents pilling on both the face
and back of the fabric. It is manufactured with the
highest quality polyester yarns available on planet
earth and is the softest, smoothest and most
durable fleece made. The Series 200 is a mid-weight
fleece suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is
an ideal inner layer because of its high loft which
traps air for maximum insulation. As an outer layer
this same breathability can prevent overheating in
cool weather environments but can be a liability in
high-wind situations.
All Series 200 fleece is engineered to wick
moisture away from the body to keep you dry which
is the most important element to keeping you warm.
In fact, Series 200 fleece has a remarkable ability
to maintain its insulating properties even when
sopping wet, and simultaneously an uncanny ability
to seem instantly dry when exiting the washing
machine or after being wrung out trailside after a
surprise rain storm.
Series 200 fleece is available in Solid,
Heathered and Overdye styles
Solid: The standard bearer, solid colored
Series 200 is solid toned with a matt finish.
Heathered: Created by weaving a rayon
yarn into the polyester, Dakini Heathered Series
200 garments have little white rayon hairs
dispersed evenly across the fabric that creates a
look not unlike boiled wool.
Overdye: Polartec Series 200 overdye is
unique in its manufacturing process. Unlike our
regular Series 200 fabrics the Overdye is woven on
special machines that create a uneven absorbtion of
the dye. The result is a deep toned fabric face
with a lighter toned color coordinated contrast on
the interior. The fabric is then sheared to a
exceptionally smooth nonpilling finsh that
maintains the technical features of the Series 200
with a jewel toned appearance that is unlike any
other fabric anywhere.

Berber Pile fabrics are among the very warmest
single layer fabrics in our line. Berber is a
fabric technology steeped in history. Developed
through a process called "sliver" (rhymes with
diver) knitting Berber fabrics, have been perfected
over decades and have grown from heavy grade carpet
weaving technology to an amazingly supple and
durable, fully machine washable fabric that shares
the technical advantages long associated with
fleece fabrics. The sliver knitting process creates
a super high loft exterior with a soft knit backing
that moves moisture away from the skin.
Furthermore, Berber fabrics are more wind resistant
than a similar weight fleece creating garments
suitable for colder indoor and outer layer outdoor
applications
Dakini Berber Tweeds are unique in their use of
three different colored yarns interwoven to create
each unique color. The Tweed palette appears to be
solid colors from a distance but is obvious as a
tasteful melange when closer observed. All Dakini
Berbers are woven from the finest Micro Supreme
yarns for the softest and most supple texture and
drape.

body-hugging four- way stretch with moisture
management. There are two unique surfaces: the
durable, non-pilling outer surface resists
abrasion, while next-to-skin the soft velour pile

layer, Power Stretch fabrics are ideal for indoor
or outdoor sports that require maximum freedom of
movement and moisture management.

Custom Made for Dakini by a top Italian mill
this windblock is the fusion of a micro denier
fleece interior and a lightly sheared micro denier
exterior. In between these supple layers is a thin
water shedding sheath that prevents water from
getting in (except at the seams where the garment
is only water resistant) yet allows perspiration
vapor to escape. The result is a wind proof
breathable layer ideal as a cold weather outer or
inner layer.

Our 2 x 2 rib is 100% cotton garment dyed so it
is all preshrunk. The fabric has an obvious rib
that is not too big but more robust and slightly
heavier weight.

weight than series 200 fleece but still performs

the next generation of technical outwear - the soft
shell. This clothing concept goes beyond
traditional 2-layer systems, which feature fleece
insulation and a waterproof/breathable shell, to a
single layer that protects against all but the

breathability, abrasion resistance and stretch to
enhance your outdoor experience.
How does it work?
Polartec® Power Shield®
fabrics feature a smooth, tightly woven nylon
face for abrasion resistance equal or superior to
the best shells, but without the stiffness and
noise. A polyester velour back that
traps air and provides a high warmth-to-weight
ratio.
Patent-pending Air Control Technology® (ACT)
enables the fabric to block 98% of the wind. The
remaining 2% is allowed to circulate within the
fabric, which greatly enhances moisture vapor
transmission, 2 times faster than other waterproof
breathable shells, and improves breathability,
reducing the risk of heat stress buildup.
All Polartec® Power Shield® fabrics are
finished with a durable water repellent
(DWR)to shed rain and snow. Powershield® also
features spandex and mechanical stretch
for freedom of movement.
Garments made from Polartec® Power
Shield® fabrics are designed to replace
traditional fleece and shell systems for most
outdoor clothing applications, reducing the weight
and number of layers needed to insulate and
